Somatic Experiencing® is a trauma healing modality that works to release trauma from the nervous system. We all experience trauma, to varying degrees. Trauma is simply a part of life. The problem is when trauma gets stuck in our body, more precisely, in our nervous system, it can create patterns of constriction.

Unresolved trauma in the body can manifest in many ways—as depression, anxiety, physical illness, disorded eating patterns, unexplainable pains, insomnia, adrenal fatigue, and so forth.

By using Somatic Experiencing®, we can discharge this stored energy and release long-held, even preverbal, trauma. Somatic Experiencing relies on the wisdom of the body’s sensations to gently facilitate the release of long-held survival impulses. We can integrate all aspects of our self. We can return to a state of wholeness and experience radiance, joy and a sense of goodness in our lives.
